“Don’t Break Our Boat’s Hearts”

When you book, we buy the fish, prep the boat, hug the crew, and reserve your sunset spot. So, here’s how breakups (a.k.a cancellations) work 💔:

1. The Deposit (a.k.a. The Pinky Promise)

• 40% deposit = your official “YES, I’M COMING!”
• It locks your bed, your meals, and your seat on the bangka.
• Deposits are non-refundable (the ocean doesn’t do refunds either).
• The remaining balance must be paid one week before your expedition begins.

A payment link will be sent via email after booking. We only accept payment through the official payment links provided after your successful booking.

2. If You Change Your Mind…

• 30+ days before departure : We keep $70 per person from the deposit and refund the remaining. You keep the memories of what could’ve been.

• Less than 30 days before departure : The deposit is non-refundable. However, should the remaining balance have already been paid, that amount will be refunded in full. (The boat is ready. The crew is ready. The fish are basically yours.)

👯 Plot Twist? Send a Replacement Human

• You can transfer your booking to a friend incur a $70 rebooking fee per booking.
• Just tell us at least 7 days before departure.
• We love new faces. We don’t judge substitutions.

3. When the Weather Gets Dramatic

Sometimes the sea wakes up and chooses chaos. And when the Philippines Coast Guard says, “No sailing today,” we listen. Immediately. Because at Salty Souls… We respect the sea. Always.

🌪 Entire Trip Cancelled Before Departure
If Mother Nature decides she’s not accepting visitors and the trip is cancelled before we even set sail:

• You can reschedule to the next available date
• Or receive a full refund
• Or choose credit for a future expedition

We can’t control the weather… But we promise you won’t be left stranded like a dramatic movie scene.

⛅ First-Day Cancellation Due to Weather
If the skies clear up on Day 2 and the Coast Guard gives the green light, but you decide to stay dry on land:

• We’ll refund 25% of your trip rate, 75% of your payment sails away without you.

The ocean forgives. Our cancellation policy… slightly less poetic. 😉

4. Refund Policy (a.k.a. “Your Money’s Return Journey”)

If you cancel your trip, your refund will be processed within 30 days of confirmed cancellation. Good things take time — including responsible accounting. 💸✨

If Mother Nature decides to throw a tantrum and your trip is canceled due to bad weather, your refund will be processed within 30 days of the original trip date. Even the ocean needs a moment to calm down. 🌊⛈️ 

5. No Show = Sad Boat

If you don’t arrive on departure day:

• It’s treated as a last-minute cancellation (100% non-refundable).
• We’ll stare at the horizon dramatically.

To keep your adventure smooth and drama-free, we highly recommend arriving in Coron or El Nido 1–2 days early. Flights sometimes have main-character energy and love unexpected plot twists.

If your flight gets cancelled and you can’t make it… we’ll miss you deeply, but sadly your money will still be on holiday with us. No refunds will be issued. ✈️🌴 

6. Rescheduling by the Guest (a.k.a. “Wait… I Changed My Mind”)

Life happens. We get it. If you need to move your trip, just let us know at least 14 days before departure and we’ll happily reschedule you — for a tiny $70 “oops-but-we-still-love-you” rebooking fee per booking.

However… if you try to reschedule within 14 days of departure, our calendar suddenly develops trust issues. At that point, rescheduling is not permitted. 🗓️✨ 

7. Travel Insurance = Smart Explorer Move

We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers:

• Flight delays
• Medical emergencies
• Unexpected life plot twists

We keep things easy… but the boat still needs fuel and the crew still needs snacks 😉
